Bulgogi Beef Tacos

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Sour cream and sliced jalapeños for topping

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, sesame oil, rice vinegar, black pepper, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Add sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring it's well coated. Marinate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add marinated beef and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  5. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
  6. Assemble tacos by placing beef on each tortilla, then top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and jalapeños.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy the Korean-Mexican fusion flavors!
